Over a series of eight evenings, Ngakma Déwang and Naljorpa Trak'thung will explore the eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche as presented in the Nyingma tradition, with a focus on the Aro gTér view. From this perspective, Guru Rinpoche is not merely a historical figure but the continuing source of revelation, transmission and enlightened activity. Be it as lake-born boy, scholar seeking supreme insight or the fierce Dorje Drolö, each manifestation reveals a different dimension of Guru Rinpoche's realisation.
Combining the narrative of his life and traditional iconography with reflections on practice, the series will explore how these eight forms are not eight different beings, but eight ways in which awakened presence can manifest according to the needs and circumstances of beings. The evenings will include sessions of silent sitting meditation and, as always, the opportunity to ask questions.
