In the Aro gTér cycle of wrathful yidams there are twenty-eight weapons which are carried by the yidams. These equate with the days of the lunar month — and consequently to Raksha gZa’ Rahula (ra kSha gZa’ ra hu la / ར་ཀྴ་གཟའ་ར་ཧུ་ལ་) because he is the protector who is associated with astronomy.

The Vajra Weapons are all ways of dealing with the dualistic derangements of the self-defeating cyclic experience of ‘khorwa (‘khor ba / འཁོར་བ་ / samsara).

These weapons are bring lovingly and painstakingly created by Jennifer Shawe in Colorado. They are made of iron and are all the size of actual human-held weapons.

Tram-shing

A detailed exploration of the Tram-shing, a Vajra weapon used in Vajrayana Buddhist practice. It is one of the 28 Vajra weapons associated with the 28 days of the lunar month and the wrathful awareness-being Rakshasa gZa' Rahula. The Tram-shing is engraved with khandro ciphers and when displayed, it causes obstacles to offer themselves for symbolic transformation through the recitation of Ngak and visualization.
